What you get:-
The Dimplex DXFF fan heaters are available in either 2KW or 3KW models both have 2 easy to use rotary controls on top (one for the 2 heat and cool air settings, the other for the thermostatic control), frost protection, a mains light indicator to show when they are switched on a safety cut out to prevent overheating and an integrated carrying handle.
These are all the necessary features you need without any bells and whistles.
And what you don't get:-
Dimplex doesn't make pie the sky promises about whisper quiet running or a thermostat accurate to 0.5 of a degree, you won't get a choice of colours (white only), smart controls, remote handsets or wireless connectivity.
If it does go wrong you don't get stuck with hassle because in addition to your rights under the consumer act 2015 these heaters are backed by a company that believes in its product enough to give this free extended guarantee:-
"Your product is guaranteed for three years from the date of purchase.
Within this period, we undertake to repair or exchange this product free of charge (subject to availability), within the guarantee period provided it has been operated in accordance with the instructions in the operating manual".

Want to get one a little, or a lot cheaper? Dimplex produced some 2kw models with designs aimed at girls in bright pink with a daisy motif.
These were not as popular as Dimplex hoped, so to move stocks the prices are slashed if your OK with bright pink you can save money by buying one instead of the traditional white models.
