Oil Filled Radiator Reviews
Oil Filled Radiator reviews are of portable and wall hung models which do not need specialist fitting.
Costing under from £20 for a basic 500 watt one, up to £300+ for more sophisticated models with advanced control systems, all our recommended models have been tested for temperature control, safety, and ease of use.
Oil filled radiators are filled with thick, sticky oil which can leak and damage floors so it is better to avoid cheap ones and buy from manufacturers such as Dimplex, De'longhi etc... which have proven reliability and give free extended guarantees.
To avoid leakage some modern ones have thicker gel-type heat retaining fillings or use sealed air-filled tubes instead of oil.
The surface of these radiators can get very hot to the touch, we advise you not to use portable ones in bathrooms, also be careful about placing them where children or vulnerable people can touch them.If you are buying for a sick room or suffer respiratory problems, such as asthma, you may find an Electric Panel Heater is more suitable for your needs.

Note: Our users have reported that some of these heaters make a 'clicking' noise when in use, we have inspected them and found in some cases when the internal heating elements heat up and expand they touch the internal metal plates, this does not affect the performance and can be fixed by slightly adjusting the elements.
If you wish to make this adjustment ask a suitably qualified electrician. Do not attempt to do it yourself.
