Need a bit of extra warmth for your lower limbs?
Using a radiant or fan heater to warm up your feet is risky, a radiant heater has to be far enough away not to burn you and a fan heater will blow warm air up your body as well, where it's not wanted.
Used in a confined space such as under a desk or too close to a chair, both types of heaters also pose a fire risk.
Here is the solution, at only 51 cm high, 50 cm wide and 30 cm deep when folded into a U shape the Shedirmuc personal panel heater slips easily under a desk.
Made from a carbon crystal heating film (Graphene) sandwiched in a panelled lightweight non-woven fabric, Its low power (220W) and safe touch 'no burn' surface means you can sit close to it and keep your feet & legs nice and warm, the waterproof surface offers added protection.
It has a nicely designed touch panel control unit with 3 temperature settings and a timer, as a safety precaution if used continually for 3 hours it will switch off, so no worries if you leave your desk and forget to turn it off.
With a 30-second warm-up time, all four panels generate heat, this is the ideal foot-warming heater for the elderly and invalids as well as for office and general use.
Available in a variety of colours and patterns.

The fibre cement board panel heater was invented in South Africa by a father & son team in 1990, it was designed to be a low cost durable and flexible heating solution and won many awards for design innovation.
In terms of price, running costs and effectiveness it is one of the world's best heating products.
They have extremely low power consumption but maximize heat distribution by using the space between the panel and wall to generate a convection current, as well as radiating heat from the front like a standard panel heater.
When mounted the panels can be painted and blended into your decor.
We are recommending the Econohome range of fibreboard panel heaters, they have several models with built-in wifi app-controlled thermostats and come with 3-year guarantees. Each model is available with or without a heat guard cover.
- 250 W for room sizes up to 10m2
- 420 W for room sizes up to 12m2
- 600 W for room sizes up to 20m2

Mounting it is extremely easy, drill 4 holes in the wall, push the mounting lugs into them put the heater onto the lugs then push in the locking pins, no screwing and it's light enough to be fitted by one person (see video)
This panel heater is for wall mounting only and is not recommended for bathrooms. Because it uses the wall gap to create a convection current it will cause air movement, circulating some dust in your room.

Klarstein HeatPal Freestanding Marble Infra-red Panel heater
Scoring: Value for money 10: Safety 10: Build quality 10: Ease of use 10: Noise 1: Styling 8. Customer Satisfaction rating 100%

We've included the Klarstein HeatPal in our Panel Heater section as it uses a natural (unpolished) slab of Mongolian-sourced marble to store and radiate heat.
The slab is held upright in a wide-footed (for stability) cage and is heated by a 1.3kW aluminium heating element. The slab stores heat and will keep radiating with the power turned off. This coupled with the variable thermostat makes it quite economical to use.
It is a little heavy at around 11.3kg (25lbs) and would be ideal for a cold spot in a large room, or as the main heater in a smaller space of up to 25m2.
The heater works like a portable storage heater and it can be heated up and moved into a space with no power supply and will keep radiating heat.
It has a thermal cut-out to prevent overheating, automatic temperature regulation, an anti-frost function and an anti-tilt switch which will turn it off if knocked over.
This is an unusual and very effective heating solution, so far we have great reports and the one we borrowed for testing was quite impressive. The 1.3kW model comes in aluminium, black and copper or black and silver.
The Heatpal is not splash rated so is not suitable for bathrooms. As it keeps radiating heat when switched off it is not suitable for very small spaces.
Dimensions: Height 67cm, Width 48cm, Depth 25cm. Weight 11.3kg and supplied with a 1.8-metre power cable
All products sold by Klarstein are sold as new and are covered by a 2-year warranty from your date of purchase, terms & conditions apply, see the Klarstein website for details.
